New! Our Q4 2024 Brooklyn Market Report

As with Manhattan, the Brooklyn real estate market definitely picked up post-election. You could even say the Brooklyn market is thriving, with 2,292 sales this quarter. That's a 7.7% increase from last year.

Our clients tend to favor two areas. One is Northwest Brooklyn, with areas like DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights, Fort Greene, and Park Slope, which held 22.8% of sales. Average and median prices here hit their highest levels of the past ten years.

The other area is North Brooklyn, which includes Greenpoint and Williamsburg. It held 12.4% of sales. Prices here saw the most growth, with the average price hitting a double-digit increase.

Brooklyn remains a sought-after location for locals and newcomers, driven by a demand for space and the variety and appeal of its neighborhoods (and lets not forget the food!). For a more in-depth look at the Q4 Brooklyn market, email bill@compass.com to receive the full report.
