Manhattan Market Update: Yes, Homes Are Selling

Right now, homes are selling in Manhattan. It's a sluggish market and a slow time of year, but last week 146 contracts were signed. And it was a holiday week with a four day weekend! Prices were reduced on 185 listings, so you know there are serious sellers out there.

In fact, 132 new listings came on the market. That includes our $4.25M listing at 2 5th Ave., #55. We launched it on the Weds. afternoon before Thanksgiving, and had four showings over that weekend. Obviously, there are serious buyers out there as well. The drop in interest rates over the last couple 2-3 weeks undoubtedly has had an impact.
