The New York City Marathon
The New York City Marathon takes place this Sunday, Nov. 5. Over 50,000 participants will embark on the 26.2 mile course, starting from Fort Wadsworth Park on Staten Island at 8 AM. They’ll traverse all five boroughs before crossing the finish line in Central Park near West 67th Street.
While the route doesn’t include downtown Manhattan where we live, later in the day we’re sure to see many runners on their way home; wrapped in foil blankets and with a mixed air of exhaustion and pride. Who knows. This year we may even head uptown to cheer them on!
