Should You List Your Home Now?

Interest rates are rising, there's talk of recession, and you're thinking about listing your home.  Should you do it?  The answer is yes.  You're probably selling your home for a reason - you need more space, or less space, or you're relocating - and that reason isn't going away because of what's happening in the news.

What's more likely is you're afraid you won't make as much money or sell as quickly as you might have if you'd listed a few months ago.  That may be true, but at the end of the day you'll still be able to sell.  Buyers are out there, transactions are happening, and the market hasn't tanked.

You'll just need to be more patient and forget about "aspirational" pricing.

Economic conditions aren't changing anytime soon, and may in fact become more challenging.  Unless there are extenuating factors (maybe your job transfer isn't happening until October or the renovations on your new place have been delayed) it makes sense to list as soon as possible.   Please contact us to discuss your best course of action.
